Hi everyone !

Welcome to my blog which means that you know my name is Leona and furthermore you know the products and services I provide.

Well that's enough of the formalities.

I asked a friend of mine"what's a blog ?"

She told me a blog is an informal diary with random thoughts and ideas both written and in photographic form, in this case linked to Posh Chair Covers and Bows.

Seem's straightforward enough.

I then looked at other blog's and decided i didn't want to fall into the trap as others have of the blog solely becoming a platform for self promotion.
I noticed that sometimes people take themselves far too seriously !

I did have a few reservations about the blog, such as putting our new ideas up for others to copy, but everything comes with a downside and as someone once said "copied but never surpassed".
Come on people have a bit originality ( you know who you are).

I was also thinking of doing a feature every now and again of specialist suppliers that we work closely with to open the subject matter up a bit.

Hopefully as we progress it will be informative and heaven forbid a bit of fun !

So without further ado...................

Going the extra..................

I realise that choosing the right centrepiece and colour scheme needs to be given careful thought and more often than not this can be discussed and chosen when the bride comes to my home for a one to one consultation.

However there are occasions when we need to take it one step further and this can involve me meeting the bride at the venue to dress a table in order that the visualisation process is taken to that next level.

This week I met 2 brides at Wynyard Hall where I  was able to dress a table and chairs in order that a colour scheme could be chosen.

The colour of choice for this future bride was Coral.

Going on from this the bride was also searching for a unique centrepiece that picked up on her colour scheme so we encorporated a centrepiece with elegant roses and gave it a contemporary twist by using an LED lit base set to a Coral light, this light was then picked up in the crystal droplets on the chandelier.

My second appointment for the evening was for a bride who needed to bring green into her wedding breakfast room so after much deliberation.

A rich deep green complementing Wynyard's Biscuit coloured chair covers and linen.

Shaggy It's a Gho..o..o..st !

We visit some wonderful venues in the North East, however we get to see them as others dont.

www.poshchaircoversandbows.co.ukThis is a shot of The Great Hall at Matfen Hall from the balcony.

The Great Hall will hold many secrets, but what exactly is the 'spectre' at the top right of the photograph?
Now if that had been a one off shot, then perhaps: freak shot, trick of the light, but i took 3 photographs and they all showed this image.

Who knows the secret of the Great Hall ?

Needless to say the day went beautifully for the Wedding Party, could be though they had an extra un-expected guest!

Can I park anywhere nearer !?

We always try and get as close as possible in the posh-mobile but this is a bit ridiculous.

Here we are at Whitworth Hall for a set up of  white chair covers and charcoal/gunmetal sashes in the Duncombe Suite.
This has been a firm favourite over the winter.
