Hi everyone !

Welcome to my blog which means that you know my name is Leona and furthermore you know the products and services I provide.

Well that's enough of the formalities.

I asked a friend of mine"what's a blog ?"

She told me a blog is an informal diary with random thoughts and ideas both written and in photographic form, in this case linked to Posh Chair Covers and Bows.

Seem's straightforward enough.

I then looked at other blog's and decided i didn't want to fall into the trap as others have of the blog solely becoming a platform for self promotion.
I noticed that sometimes people take themselves far too seriously !

I did have a few reservations about the blog, such as putting our new ideas up for others to copy, but everything comes with a downside and as someone once said "copied but never surpassed".
Come on people have a bit originality ( you know who you are).

I was also thinking of doing a feature every now and again of specialist suppliers that we work closely with to open the subject matter up a bit.

Hopefully as we progress it will be informative and heaven forbid a bit of fun !

So without further ado...................

Whats Black and White and Red all over ...?

www.poshchaircoversandbows.co.uk

The theme was Las Vegas and believe it or not there were stilt walkers, fire eaters and Las Vegas show girls
( hence the feathers)
The centrepieces were provided by a funky bird aka Karen Whyte from http://www.funkyflowercompany.co.uk/
The bride wanted  a dash of red in everything so red feathers and red napkin ties were the order of the day.
Lets get Funky!

Did i mention she does fab flowers !

The answer is...........

Matfen Hall is the first image.
www.poshchaircoversandbows.co.uk
The latin inscription can be found above the external door leading to The Great Hall.
The chairs were dressed in a deep plum organza for the civil ceremony and later taken by Matfen staff to be placed round the tables in readiness for the Wedding Breakfast.

Wynyard Hall is the second image.
This crest and inscription is above the door leading from The Ballroom toward The Chapel.
We were at Wynyard twice this week the first being in the mirrored room dressing the chairs in a vintage purple.
The resident photographer ( my other half ) decided to go all 'arty' and emphasise the fact that we were in the mirror room by taking a photograph through the mirror.

The second visit was to dress for a Wedding breakfast in the ballroom in a rich claret that totally complimented the biscuit linen.
