1. Always visit the supplier
and have a look at the chair covers i.e try before you buy. There are ‘chair
covers ‘ and there are ‘chair covers’.
2. If you are unable to
visit the supplier then check them out on their website is there plenty of
photographs showing examples of their work.
3. Do you require Lycra,
Polyester or Linen chair covers ? There
is a difference in feel, quality and comfort. However it doesn’t necessarily
mean that the better the quality the higher the price.
4. You will know when you
are comfortable with your supplier, if you’re not then shop around till you are.
5. When you initially
emailed a supplier did they respond to your email in a timely manner ? If not
this could be the shape of things to come.
6. Is the supplier doing the
business as part time to supplement
their income or is it their full time job ? This will probably have an impact
on point 5 and any future correspondence.
7. Does the supplier have
your colour sash if not are they willing to source it for you, should you
really have to make do.
8. Does the chair cover fit the chair there are
many companies that will have a ‘standard’ size chair cover. Make sure the
chair cover ‘covers’ the legs ( half mast trousers isn’t a good look ) .
9. Do your chair covers
co-ordinate with your venues table linen don’t let anyone tell you white blends
with ivory or worse still white blends with beige.
10. Will your chair covers be
fully laundered before your event ? Some companies will quality control the
cover and put it out unlaundered for 2 or 3 events.
